Sony has now made official that its entire Z lineup would be getting Android L Update. This includes the following smartphones : Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Each one of these smartphones would be getting android L update. However they may not be the only one as Sony may add few more smartphones to android L upgrade list however it does not seem like that as of now. So if your device is not in the list, you will need to wait to see if something pops up into Sony's mind and they upgrade your device to Android L.
Ofcourse Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition will be the first one to be blessed with Lollipop as it is the member of Play Edition Family. Other devices would be getting it in the early 2015 which would start with the the core Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series". For other phones the update would be arriving in sometimes later after the Z2 and Z3 series smartphone receives it.
Samsung Devices Getting Android L
Samsung has also not made any comment on the Android L update. But we would soon be hearing it and when we do, we will make sure to update you. Needless to say that Samsung Galaxy S5 would get Andorid Lollipop update. Also Android L update for Samsung Galaxy S4 is listed as pending in US. So, yeah Galaxy S4 users will also be a part of Android L community. Android L Update Plan for Asus has leaked online and contains all the Zenfone smartphones. Asus Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 A450CG, Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5 LTE, and Zenfone 6 will be getting Android 5.0 Lollipop in April next year. Also the Asus PadFone S would get android l lollipop update by April 2015, and Android Lollipop update for Asus PadFone Infinity 2 would be coming till June, 2015.
